EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR // SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR
Rev. Amanda Rigby
Amanda (she/her) is a trained spiritual director and an ordained elder in the North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church. She holds a Master of Divinity degree from Duke Divinity School (2019). In addition to serving as the Executive Director of The Well, Amanda is also the Pastor of Christian Education and Spiritual Formation at Edenton Street United Methodist Church in downtown Raleigh. She is passionate about being a spiritual companion to those who are seeking deeper spirituality, to clergy, and to folks in the LGBTQ+ community.

SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR
Rev. Joyce Coffman
Joyce (she/her) B.S., M.Div., is a certified Spiritual Director, Reiki II Practitioner, Death Doula and Dream Worker. She has over 35 years of experience as a Christian educator, spiritual companion, small group facilitator and IT Manager. She brings to Spiritual Direction intentionality in holding space for all and especially for those challenged by early life trauma. She is a member of the North Carolina Institute for Spiritual Direction and Spiritual Formation leadership team and a life-long learner of psycho-spiritual growth and development. Her greatest joy is to be a spiritual companion and witness to the continuous movement of the Spirit in the lives of those with whom she is privileged to journey.
Sarah Capel
Sarah (she/her) is a trained spiritual director. She holds a Master of Arts in Christian Practice from Duke Divinity School (2017) and a law degree from the University of Virginia (1986). Sarah’s great joy in life lies in building and nurturing relationships. Therefore, her role as Spiritual Director is to hold sacred space for Spirit to guide others to understand how much God loves them and desires to be in cleansing, renewing relationship with them.

Lindsay Stevenson
Lindsay (she/her) is a trained spiritual director. She completed her training through the NC Institute for Spiritual Direction and Formation. She is passionate about helping others feel known, seen, and loved. She welcomes those desiring a deeper connection with God in the midst of everyday life, those seeking a safe space to name their longings, joys, and struggles and all seeking spiritual care for the deepest and truest parts of themselves. In addition to spiritual direction, Lindsay has served on staff at her church and teaches in the public school system.
GROUP SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR
Marnie Jones
Marnie (she/her) is the author of Holy Toledo: Religion and Politics in the Life of ‘Golden Rule’ Jones and Opening to Wonder: A Memoir of Heart, Brains, and Courage (available in 2026). An award-winning professor at The University of North Florida, her teaching philosophy was rooted in helping students become better humans who might improve the world. She offered students a radical respect, inviting them to share responsibility for their education. Currently, she brings that same spirit of presence and formation to her work as a spiritual director and to therapy-dog ministry at Wake Med Hospital with her dog, Zoe. She is a graduate of The Art of Spiritual Direction, from Stillpoint, at Ghost Ranch, New Mexico.
SPIRITUAL DIRECTOR
Michael Citrini
A certified spiritual director for the past decade, Michael (he/him) has also served as a School Counselor with the Wake County Public School System for over thirty years. Believing the Gospel's truth that we are all “beloved children of God,” Michael considers it a privilege to co-create safe spaces in spiritual direction for intentional listening, so directees may hear and trust their divine invitations to become their truest selves. Michael earned a Master of Pastoral Studies from Loyala University of New Orleans, a Master of Education in School Counseling from UNC-CH, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Wake Forest University. In addition to spending time with family, Michael enjoys facilitating retreats, photographing natural landscapes, writing poetry, and visiting our local, state, and national parks.

Ryan Eves
After 20 years in non-profit leadership focused on creating safe spaces for all, Ryan Eves (he/him) is transitioning into the world of mental health services and spiritual direction. Ryan is a Raleigh native and is completing in his final semester at the NC Institute for Spiritual Direction & Formation. He is pursuing his MSW through the University of Kentucky and plans to graduate in May 2027. Ryan lives in Raleigh with his wife and two daughters.
