Our practitioners are trained to help.

Healing is a journey that often requires more time and effort than we expect. The practitioners at The Well are trained in the work of healing - whether that is mental or spiritual. Our job is to journey with you on your path to healing.

  • Spiritual direction is a form of companionship between a trained director and a seeker - someone who is seeking greater spiritual depth and understanding. This work typically takes place in a one-on-one, hour-long meeting one time per month. In a spiritual direction session, director and seeker spend time in meditation/prayer and intentional conversation, directing their attention to the spiritual life of the seeker.

Spiritual direction is an ideal form of care for people of any faith who are interested in growing and maturing in their spirituality. Many people who seek out spiritual direction find themselves in seasons of discernment. transition, or uncertainty. Those looking to heal from spiritual wounds or reconnect with spirituality are also great candidates for direction.

  • Our counselors and therapists are trained in clinical approaches for care and are licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina. They utilize proven psychotherapeutic models to care for their clients.

The Well also partners with universities as a practicum site, providing opportunities for counseling and therapy students to practice and learn under appropriate supervision.

  • Community classes at The Well are designed to equip members of the community with tools to help achieve greater mental, emotional, and spiritual health. These short-term offerings are taught by our practitioners, who are experts in their various areas of instruction.
