Self Care Intensive at The Well

Join us on Friday, April 19th from 9:30 AM - 4 PM for Self Care Intensive - Caring for the Caregiver at The Well.

This workshop is designed for anyone working in human services. For all caregivers, self-care is essential. Once participants complete this workshop then they have their practical self-care strategies, enabling them to work from a more centered and resilient space. This simple shift will have a tremendous impact on client outcomes.

As employees experience reduced burnout, the potential for increased longevity in their roles emerges, mitigating turnover and, consequently, contributing to a more stable and financially sound organizational landscape. It's a win-win-win for professionals, employers, and the clients they serve.

Workshop Overview

Introduction to Self-Awareness and Environmental Awareness

Explore the impact of personal and environmental factors (Systems Theory) on emotional well-being.

Learn mindfulness practices for increased awareness.

Understand the connection between chronic stress and emotional patterns.

Define "Burnout" and Recognizing Signs:

Gain insights into the definition, statistics, and signs of burnout.

Identify and manage different roles, understanding when to wear the "helper hat."

Explore self-determination and managing personal judgment for effective client engagement.

Setting Boundaries for Resilience: 

Examine the role of boundaries in preventing burnout.

Discuss ethical considerations and the impact of empathy on boundaries.

Practice techniques for effective boundary-setting.

Self-Care Strategies and Maintaining a Supportive Work Environment:

Delve into various types of self-care: Physical, Emotional/Mental, Social, and Spiritual.

Explore the benefits of each type and its systemic impact.

Engage in activities to kickstart personalized self-care plans.

This first workshop is being offered at a 30% discounted pilot rate for only 8 participants.

The total cost is $175.

Following the workshop, participants will be asked to give feedback to help us strengthen the experience for others and consider post workshop offerings.
