Employment Opportunities

At this time, we are hiring 1 full-time Master or Ph.D. Level LMFT Supervisor. We will also consider LMFTs with non-supervisor status.

The Well Mental and Spiritual Care is a nonprofit practice of spiritual direction and therapy dedicated to creating pathways of healing and wholeness for the community. Specifically, The Well seeks to provide therapeutic, spiritual and mental health services in a way that is equitable and just. We approach this work through social-justice informed community collaboration, trauma-informed care, and strength-based approaches that facilitate hope and resilience. We utilize evidence-based treatment models to uphold these values and goals. The overarching vision of this practice is to house the therapeutic, spiritual, psychological, and psychiatric services that individuals require to have access to holistic care and healing. Furthermore, we honor clinicians' faith identities while practicing ethically in a community that needs both secular and sometimes (upon request only) faith-integrated therapy.

Our Mission: To create pathways of healing and wholeness in the community by offering accessible and affordable mental and spiritual care.

Our Values: Healing & Wholeness, Accessibility of Care, Social Justice & Equity, Belonging

One of The Well’s primary goals is breaking down the barriers to accessing and receiving mental health services. This includes creating a safe and supportive environment for underserved and at-risk communities that disproportionately experience adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and trauma, and historical and present-day community trauma (i.e., Black, Latinx, Asian, Indigenous, and LGBTQ+ communities). For example, we will provide inclusive services for transgender and gender expansive individuals, including ongoing therapeutic services and providing affordable psychosocial assessments for individuals seeking to medically transition (in house training can be provided). Long-term, we also aspire to provide practicum placements for MFT students and supervision for MFT associate licenses, as this will allow us to provide free and reduced services for underserved populations.

Currently our space includes 2 fully furnished offices, a waiting room, and a flexible classroom space that can be used for group classes, supervision, spiritual direction, and general meetings. If hired, you would have a dedicated office for your sole use 5 days a week, Monday-Friday. We would use this as a shared office space on weekends/when you are not scheduled with clients or administrative work.

You would be hired to work as a contracted, independent provider who would be invited in as a collaborator in the practice as you would be our primary clinical provider. We are offering a 25/75 split, where 25% of each billable hour/group supervision provided would go towards covering overhead costs (i.e., rent/interet/utilities, office supplies, requested books/materials, additional training and CEU’s, your individual liability insurance, your Psychology Today profile, your Hushmail account for HIPAA compliant clinical correspondence, and your Theranest subscription for case documents). You will be provided with a second computer monitor and printer. You will be responsible for scheduling your ongoing clients. Additionally, you will have to provide your own laptop and cellphone for telehealth, online work, and client communication.

Overall, in our hiring, we are looking an LMFT-S or LMFT who has experience providing supervision, is already approved on insurance panels and can accept one or more insurances, and specializes in any of the following areas:

  • Individual, Couple, & Family Therapy with Children, Adults, and/or Couples

  • Marriage/Pre-marriage/Couples (Gottman, EFT, etc.)

  • Trauma: IFS, EMDR, CPT, Somatic, or evidence-based trauma-informed modalities.

  • PCIT/Play Therapy
